Max Wellman is proud to present a classic show of jazz

& standards with his newly formed trio in one of

Des Moines’ best-kept secrets, the beautiful 4th Street

Theater. Come directly before or after dinner (or choose

from the specially prepared menu) for the 7:00 set or

take your time and come for the nightcap at 9:00. At a

ticket price of just $10, this show is a bargain on such a

prime evening.

Everyone who orders tickets ahead of time will receive a

complimentary digital download from Max of his big band

recording of ‘My Funny Valentine’, made at a sold out

Hoyt Sherman Place concert in 2010. 

Wellman’s set will consist mainly of classic standards from

the swing era, including composers such as Richard Rodgers,

Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, & many more. 

A special food & drink menu is being prepared by Java

Joe’s for the occasion. Alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages

will be available in the theater.
