So, that’s the gist of it. I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be in residence at the Des Moines Social Club this year for our ‘Home for the Holidays’ series. This show seems to get better each year, and I’m hoping that you’ll continue to put it on your calendar each time we put it on!
There are two big things that I would like to point out that are different this year… One is that this concert will DEBUT the band that Dave Rezek and I are putting together to tour the world and bring fame and riches back to our fair city. Seriously, it is one of the finest groups around the midwest, and this is just the beginning! Put these top-notch musicians together w/ Mr. Rezek’s fine arranging abilities and you’ve got some beautiful music going on.
The second is that, as you may have noticed on the poster, there are TWO different shows this year. The early one will be the classic, family-friendly holiday show that we’ve all come to love. The main difference with the second show is that my good friend and fantastic musician Chris Ford (frontman for ‘Christopher the Conquered‘) will be co-hosting it with me. We’ll have musical guests from all over the community and be adding a few features to the show that are better suited to a more mature, let’s say ‘looser’, crowd.
It’s going to be a great time. Head over to WWW.MIDWESTIX.COM to get your tickets now! There are only 100 seats available for each show, so it will make for an intimate, club-like evening!
I wanted to make sure you all knew that I will be performing atThe Grapevine this Sunday, November 4th @ 7PM. The Grapevine is one of my favorite places to play in Iowa due to the intimate setting and the fact that most people that show up REALLY love live music. I’ll be w/ Ben Chappell on guitar, Steve Charlson on bass, and Mr. Dave Rezek on trumpet.
Please email owner Bonita Crowe @ firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot asap! Reservations are REQUIRED. The Grapevine is located at 2175 NW 86th Street in Clive.
