Oh, What a Summer!

I’m sitting in my new apartment in Indy in disbelief… it is almost September! Where did the summer go? The last three months have been the most thrilling that I’ve had to this point in my life. Right from the start of the summer we were playing five or six times a week and planning for the big show that would happen at the end of July… The concert at Hoyt Sherman Place… what a wonderful night! I can never thank all of my friends and supporters enough. The opportunity to perform with some of the finest musicians in the state of Iowa to such a fantastic audience was breathtaking. Plans have already begun for a repeat performance next summer, which is exciting.

The album that was recorded that night is currently in production and will be ready by the second week of September, so keep your eyes peeled!

This next year of school brings many new experiences my way… I’ll start rehearsing for the Indianapolis Opera’s production of ‘The Mikado’ next week, I’ll be booking many more performances in Indianapolis this fall, and I look forward to a few possibilities in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Kansas City later this year as well.

I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated with what’s going on as the semester moves ahead. Thanks for reading!

Before I go, I’d like to throw a few more shout outs to a few people…

Courtney Work, Liz Palik, and Dawn Parizek – These ladies were responsible for all of the pictures, posters, and other graphic design that took place throughout the whole Hoyt Sherman process. Truly talented people!!!

Dave Rezek- Dave arranged and orchestrated all of the music you heard on July 31st… One of the most qualified, down-to-earth people I will ever know. Can’t wait for you to enjoy his work some more on the new album!
